The Mansion House is perfect for large groups and can accommodate up to a maximum of 44 people.
The original Georgian house was gradually extended, and then remodelled and modernised in the 1930s. With a warm feel and large rooms, the house retains a post-Edwardian design and charm with furnishings that are classically comfortable and inviting.
The large reception rooms have spectacular views across the idyllic grounds. There is a total of 18 bedrooms, each with complementary tea and coffee making facilities and central heating, a large drawing room, dining room, bar, library and meeting room. Wi-Fi is available in all the main reception rooms.
Ground Floor: Entrance hall, spacious drawing room, formal dining room, bar, library, and WCs. There is also 1 twin en suite bedroom with disabled access.
First Floor: There are 12 twin bedrooms and 3 larger bedrooms , two with 3 beds and one with 4 beds. These larger rooms are ideal for families with young children and further beds in the form of Z-beds can be added. There are 5 bathrooms adjacent to or near each bedroom and a shower room with 3 showers and a WC.
Second floor: There are 2 larger bedrooms - one with 3 and the other with 4 beds. These larger rooms are ideal for families with young children and further Z-beds can be added. There is a bathroom adjacent to the bedrooms. The house boasts a games room and annex, which offers indoor entertainment with a full-sized snooker table, a dartboard, table tennis, and other indoor games.
Our chefs use mostly local ingredients to produce delicious and wholesome meals for our guests. We are often asked to prepare and cook North Esk salmon and, depending on the growing season, we do try to add some home grown produce to our menu. We take pride in providing a full breakfast meal and delicious scones and cakes with afternoon tea.
All three meals per day, and unlimited teas and coffees are included in the cost of your stay. However, for an additional charge, we do also offer a wide range of catering options from BBQs and curry lunches to champagne receptions and themed dinner nights.
